North American Banks: Only U.S. Investment Accounts: Not all budgeting tools can track investment accounts but Mint does a good job keep track of your money in brokerage accounts. There are Windows-based versions of the program available as well as for Mac thats compatible with Apples operating system.Quicken Imports: No easy way to import from Quicken to Mint exists. Quicken offers users services from basic checking and savings account management and budgeting, all the way to portfolio analysis and management features such as capital gains tracking.If you think those other alternatives are good enough, you can move to them today, you don't need to wait.Quicken 2017 is just an incremental update to Quicken 2016, so things that work in 2016 should all work in 2017. Guess what, they all are pretty poor substitutes for Quicken (even the low-feature Mac version). I've tried Personal Capital. I've personally tried them all (because until the last 12 months or so, Quicken Mac has not been good enough, so I've gone thru every conceivable alternative over the last 7 years). CSV2QFX If you are merging with an existing Quicken account or intend to import PayPal transactions into Quicken on a regular basis and want to avoid duplicate transactions, then you should use CSV2QFX.All of you folks that are opposed to paying a fair price for annual usage of Quicken - please feel free to try the alternatives. QFX does not support splits or categories.$100 / year is a more than fair price for value received. And high quality software is worth many multiples of even fair prices. Year after year, not just once.It is a lot of talk about investing in the product and customer wants. We want you to have sustainable revenue model and to continue to support and improve the product.I'm not sure if everyone got the email from the CEO of Quicken. I will say right here - Quicken, please move to subscription version ASAP.

Can I Import All Activity From Banktivity To Quicken 2017 ? Manual Transaction EntriesI had no problems whatsoever using the QFX format, including Vanguard and my employer's 401(k).My initial impression was very positive. The trial version has no limit of automated downloads, so I was able to give it a full checkout for all of my financial institutions. I'm still running it in parallel, but I do think I could drop Quicken and be mostly happy with it.I just downloaded the trial version of Moneydance, which is the full version with a limit of 100 manual transaction entries. Why? The QIF had duplicate entries but looked OK in Quicken. The only problems were that the balances on two accounts were off. Following the instructions here, Moneydance imported my info just fine (be sure to check all the boxes in the Quicken export menu). In comparison, Quicken's report formats are constrained and clunky.My next test was importing my Quicken info. The layout and report formats are what one would expect. Just downloaded sierra for mac and slowAs for purchasing Moneydance, pay attention to the last paragraph. That being said, I felt confident that Moneydance could replace Quicken and purchased the license key.Next, Moneydance's license agreement is much better than Quicken.
